I was watching on of Bjorn Hurris 30 minute warm ups on Twitch and he showed a trick he uses to draw tubing easily using the stroke effects layer.  I was playing around with it and then started overlaying the effect and thought it looks a lot like etching.  I made this little guy using it.


The image below is a study from a photo just to get some practice a subtler transitions in colour /value to indicate form.

I started out with the grey scale sketch and then photo bashed through the middle of this then over painted.  I think I needed the textures to move it along but I liked the mood in the sketch.  [Edited: first post I had forgot the all important exhaust].
