Back to basics- Human Head 3

Still studying.  Besides the technical details to get right  but trying to emulate Hogarths rendering is sobering.

Portrait Study 13

Back to basics- Human Head 1

This is the start of a period of study for now focusing on faces.  I am using Burne Hogarth - Drawing the Human head as study aid and I will complete some portrait studies- moving on to traditional media.  So here is the first installment.

Shipyard at the Edge

Shipyard at the Edge
Worked on this one for a while.  Started off with a figure and then dropped in the environment.  Had some fun with the textures which I think is a first for me. Dropped some photo textures but these got painted out as the work progressed.

Prehistoric superhero spitpaint

Prehistoric superhero
Spitpaint of a prehistoric superhero.  I just want to make clear that this image did not use photo textures and was completed in less than 30 minutes - hard to believe I know.

Lightning Speedpaint Study

Lightning Study
A lightening speedpaint study.  This one took under 1 hour.  The whole thing captured on Livestream.
Brushes should not matter but in this case I made full use of a cloud brush which did a lot of the heavy lifting on this piece.  Lightening was fiddly.  Reference was from here.

Room to be

Room to be
I spent a ridiculously long time messing around with this considering how rough it still looks.  In truth it is still some where in sketch limbo but I have ran out of steam on this one.  Will try again.
