A study from life.  About 2 hours.  The skull is not an anatomically correct model.  It was a cheap prop I picked up at Halloween but good enough for the major forms.  Light was courtesy of my monitor.

This is a detail of the larger image To the joust  by Cesare Auguste Detti. I wanted to do this to force myself to work on the details.  Done a lot of smaller shorter works so a good change of pace. Now I am committed to doing a piece to apply some of what I picked up by doing this. Most of the action is captured on Livestream.

Being working on this for a while. Seems like months but probably feels that way as I was chipping away at it for about 2 hours a day. Some things were more successful than others but will take what I have learned and move on.
