Garden oil painting-Final


Garden Oil Painting
This is an oil painting I did of a garden. Despite the miserable summer weather things are still growing. Had not done any painting in a while and it was good to get back to doing this.    The painting is done on MDF with gesso.  It is large, maybe 20" x 15".  Took about 9 hours.

Yip I am still trying to keep some studies going.  I have kept sketching with pencil and paper.  The majority of this kind of work I get done at lunchtime.  Here are some hand studies.  I plan to make my way through Loomis for the remainder of the Summer.
