Here is the final image submitted for Bloodsports 9. Below are some of the studies it does not include the Remington copy.

I had the basic image down very quickly but then stalled and fussed with the lighting.

I completed this landscape study following Sam Carr declaring master studies week.  A lot of peoples efforts got posted on Concept Art.   Unfortunately I could not find who the artist was for this one.  Still a master in my books.  Maybe someone could tell me?  I liked the mood set up with the light and colour. 

Bloodsports 8 results!

Dan and Dave finally got a round to judging round 8 of the Bloodsports.  My entry got an honourable mention! No crit but hey its progress of a sort!
Alex Negrea won with a standout Fat Wizard  'fatty potter'.

After Remington - Aiding A Comrade

Following Sam Carrs call to do a master study  on the Crimson Daggers Thread on Concept Art .  I had a go at this Fredrick Remington.  This would be a study and I could apply whatever I could to the image I was working on for the bloodsports challenge which was western themed.  The original is found on the Google art project here.  I had the pleasure of vising this museum a few years back.  Had not seen any of Remingtons art before but it did jump out at me then.
